The Opportunity:

We're looking for an enthusiastic manager and 2ic/supervisor to lead our bar operations. This is a 30-plus-hour role with a few late closers. The position is perfect for someone passionate about hospitality who enjoys working in a team-focused environment. You’ll oversee the management of our bar, ensuring everything runs smoothly while creating a welcoming atmosphere for our patrons.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Managing and growing a bar team, providing training and support
  • Overseeing bar operations, ensuring smooth service and stock management
  • Ensuring exceptional guest experiences through excellent customer service
  • Dealing with busy functions, ensuring seamless bar service during high-volume events
  • Taking care of locals, building rapport and fostering a welcoming environment
  • Handling a mix of opening and closing shifts
  • Leading and motivating staff, ensuring a positive and efficient working environment
  • Liaising with our board to report on bar operations, challenges, and successes
  • Maintaining stock control, ordering supplies, and managing inventory
  • Ensuring compliance with licensing laws and health & safety standards
  • Managing cash handling, tills, and performing end-of-day reconciliations

What We’re Looking For:

  • At least ten years of prior experience in a bar supervisory or management role
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • High level of customer service and a positive attitude
  • Ability to build strong relationships with regulars and local patrons
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to work well under pressure, especially during busy periods and large functions
  • Experience in liaising with club management or boards
  • Possession of current RSA and RCG certification
